At mining section, the long distance mining slurry pipe, for instance, the iron ore slurry pipeline, is a major part for the mining project. UHMW PE lined pipe, is a kind of composite steel pipe, superior in every way to other PE lined pipe. During its application, the UHMW PE layers used as abrasion resistant layer, while
the outer steel pipe will hold the high operation pressure. The nominal pressure rating of UHMWPE pipes is from 0.6Mpa to 2.0 Mpa, but the UHMW PE lined steel composite
pipe can reach 6.4 Mpa, so when the pipeline need to hold a relatively higher pressure, the composite pipe can be chosen and designed according to a specific project requirement. And for different slurry medium size, different
wall thickness of UHMW PE lining pipe will be recommended.



Also the UHMW PE lined pipe is suitable to be used as copper concentrate mining slurry pipe, gold concentrate mining slurry pipe. For the long distance pipeline, pipe fittings such as elbows in different degrees can also be offered to satisfy various spools installation situations.

High abrasion resistance




Uhmwpe products unique molecular structure, makes it has high resistance to sliding friction power. Its wear resistance is higher than common metal and plastic products. Its wear resistance if 6.6 times that of carbon steel, 5.5 times that of stainless steel, 27.3 times that of brass, 17.9 times that of phenolic resin, 6 times that of nylon, and 5 times that of PTFE.




High impact resistance




Uhmwpe has the highest value of impact toughness among the existing engineering plastics. Many materials will suffer crack, breakage, crushing, or surface fatigue after severe repeated blast. According to GB/T 1843, there is no damage to uhmwpe after cantilever beam impact test.




Excellent chemical stability




This product can be resistant to strong corrosion of chemicals. It has stable performance in a concentration of less than 80% of concentrated hydrochloric acid, in concentration less than 75% sulfuric acid, in concentration of less than 20% nitric acid.




Good self-lubricating




This product contains a waxy substance, so its self-lubrication performance is good. Friction coefficient (196N, 2hours) is only 0.219MN/m (GB/T3960).Its performance is better that that of sliding steel or brass. Especially in the bad environment, dust, and sand. The dry lubrication performance is more fully displayed. Not only can move freely, and the workpiece is not worn or injury protection.




Non biological toxicity




This product is one of the few completely non-toxic and tasteless, biological odorless plastic products, can be directly used for food machinery, particularly suitable for the production of artificial joints, bones.




The unique resistance to low temperature




At minus 269 degrees Celsius, its resistance performance, impact resistance, and wear resistance basically unchanged.
It is currently the only available engineering plastics which can working at temperature close to absolute zero.




No surface adhesion




Because of its small friction coefficient and no polarity, it has good non surface adhesion. Thus, suitable for application as fly ash transportation, crude oil delivery, and slurry pipeline.

This product has performance of energy absorption, noise absorption, neutron shielding ability, with no water absorption, light in weight. Easy machining, coloring and other prominent characteristics.
